Nanobiotechnology and Single Molecule Biophysics Group

The Nanobiotechnology and Single Molecule Biophysics Laboratory is a recently established facility in the Department of Biophysics at the University of Pécs, Faculty of Medicine. In our definition nanobiotechnology is the combination of nanotechnology and biotechnology tools. That is, we utilize single-molecule techniques in combination with recombinant, molecular biology methods. Our aim is to explore the molecular mechanisms behind various biological processes at the single moleule level with the help of nanobiotechnology tools. We also collaborate with several research groups and small enterprises in different research and developmennt areas. In addition, we consider it important to distribute the nanobiotechnology knowledge and know-how.
